About Dr. Wolff
Dr. Wolff is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip arthroscopy, hip preservation and sports medicine. He has been in practice in the Washington, DC area since 2008. He is widely recognized as an expert in the field of hip arthroscopy and preservation.
Dr. Wolff is an internationally recognized leader in the field of hip arthroscopy and preservation. He regularly lectures at national and international hip meetings and publishes research peer-reviewed orthopaedic surgery literature about hip preservation procedures, best practices as to how to performs them and how to achieve the best results for these patients. He is the vice-president of Multi-Center Arthroscopic Surgery of the Hip (MASH) Study Group that aggregates data from leading hip surgeons around the country to allow careful research to improve the outcomes for our patients. He has helped develop and design techniques and instrumentation that have made the arthroscopic treatment of hip problems easier, safer, and more reliable. Additionally he is a Consultant Reviewer of current research for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
As a leader in the field of Hip Preservation and Hip Arthroscopy, Dr. Wolff was recently named as Chairman of the Annual Scientific Meeting for ISHA-The International Hip Preservation Society to be held in Washington DC in 2024. Dr. Wolff has also served as the president of the Washington Orthopaedic Society in 2012-2013 and co-chaired the 2012 Virginia Orthopaedic Society meeting. He currently serves on the Membership Committee for ISHA-The International Hip Preservation Society and is an active member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and a fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Wolff is a graduate of Amherst College and Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis where he received multiple awards–including selection for membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Yale and a Sports Medicine and Hip, Knee and Shoulder fellowship at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
