About Dr. Sursal

Dr. Tolga Sursal is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in a comprehensive range of spinal and neurological conditions. He graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School, followed by a neurosurgery residency at Westchester Medical Center in New York, where he honed his surgical skills and gained invaluable experience. Subsequently he completed his fellowship in neurosurgery and spine surgery at the University of Virginia, and was recognized with the prestigious Charles Kuntz IV Scholar Award.

He is a member of several professional associations, including the American Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurosurgeons, and the North American Spine Society.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Sursal resides in Virginia Beach with his family. He enjoys an active lifestyle with interests in traveling, running, and hiking. A talented musician, he also plays the guitar and piano and enjoys playing chess.
